Real Fake News

Pundits forget. It was former President Barack Obama who first coined the phrase “fake news” to rail against conspiracies percolating, circulating and proliferating on social media aimed at heir apparent, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 election.

Donald Trump swiftly appropriated the term, threw it back at his tormenters, and transformed a partisan cudgel into a personal weapon he’s been wielding ever since: “Fake news!” And the mainstream media has happily obliged.

New, secretly recorded conversations of CNN staff at the Washington DC headquarters reveal a relentless effort to skew the news against the Orange One. Like the New York Timeswhich promised its staff in a company wide townhall this summer to frame coverage of Trump as a racist, CNN is devoted to a singular agenda: attacking Trump.

Whistleblower Cary Poarch tells Fox News that he didn’t intend to become a media watchdog. The Bernie Sanders supporter claims that when he was hired by the network as a technician it was a dream come true — until the liberal bias and group think became unbearable. So, he started secretly recording.

In one morning production call, Jeff Zucker, the president of CNN, rallies his team, “We’re moving towards impeachment…. This is going one way. And so all these moves are moves toward impeachment. So don’t lose sight of what the biggest story is.”

But a CNN colleague confesses to Poarch, “I hate how everything at the company is now ‘all Trump all the time.’ Everyone at the company complains about it.”

Another frustrated minion gripes, “There's just nothing we can do if Zucker wants impeachment every single day to be the top story.” Zucker’s the boss. “So, yeah. He wants impeachment.”
